A Message from the Founder to Our Customers: Navigating Change Together, from Cover Glass to Complete Display Solutions

Recently, I have been thinking carefully about how we should explain an important change to our customers—and, more importantly, how we should respond to it together.
Starting April 1, 2026, China eliminated VAT export rebates for a range of products, including certain glass products.
For most consumers, this may simply look like another change in tax policy. But for GELIVABLE, where exports account for more than 80% of our business, the impact is direct and significant.
Based on our current calculations, taking into account our product structure, input VAT, and export business model, the combined tax and cost impact on certain tempered cover glass products could reach approximately 6–9%.
The actual impact varies depending on the product and transaction structure. However, one thing is already clear: some of the export pricing models established under the previous tax framework must now be reassessed.
This is the first thing I want to communicate openly and honestly with our customers.

Over the years, whenever raw material, labor, or manufacturing costs increased, we have tried our best to absorb those increases through internal improvements, supply-chain optimization, and productivity gains.
I have always believed that long-term cooperation means we should not immediately pass every cost increase on to our customers.
This time, however, the situation is different.
This is not a temporary increase in the price of a particular material, nor is it a short-term exchange-rate fluctuation. It is a structural change in export tax policy. For a company like GELIVABLE, with more than 80% of its business coming from exports, the impact extends across a significant portion of our operations.
We will therefore recalculate the cost of our export products based on their HS Codes, processing requirements, supply-chain structures, and actual tax impact.
For products that are materially affected, we may need to discuss appropriate price adjustments with our customers.
But our principle is very clear:
We do not want to simply pass all additional costs on to our customers. Instead, we want to work together to find a better supply-chain solution.
Can We Turn a Cost Challenge into a Supply-Chain Opportunity?
If we can integrate Cover Glass, Touch, Display, Optical Bonding, Assembly, Inspection, and Quality Management, the overall picture can become very different.
Traditionally, a customer may source through several separate suppliers:
Cover Glass → Touch Panel → LCD/OLED → Optical Bonding → Assembly → Inspection
The longer the supply chain, the higher the management and coordination costs.
When issues such as bubbles, Mura, foreign particles, bonding misalignment, display abnormalities, or cosmetic defects occur, several suppliers may need to work together simply to identify where responsibility lies.
Our goal is to gradually integrate these processes:
Cover Glass + Touch + Display + Optical Bonding + Assembly + Inspection
and deliver a more complete and reliable component or display module to our customers.
This is not simply about tax optimization.
More importantly, it can reduce supply-chain management costs, shorten communication paths, improve quality traceability, and allow one supplier to take greater responsibility for the final result.

For this reason, I would like to make a new proposal to our customers.
If you currently purchase Cover Glass from GELIVABLE while sourcing Touch Panels, LCD/OLED Displays, optical bonding, or assembly services from other suppliers, we would sincerely welcome the opportunity to review the entire supply chain with you.
You may provide the Touch, Display, or other related components to us, or our team can assist with component sourcing, bonding, assembly, inspection, and final delivery according to your product requirements.
Our objective is not simply to “sell more products.”
Our objective is to integrate more processes so that we can help offset part of the additional tax burden while also reducing the customer’s Total Cost across the entire supply chain.
If the customer’s total cost does not increase significantly because of this policy change—and perhaps even improves through supply-chain integration—that would be the outcome we truly want to achieve.
From One Piece of Glass to a Complete Solution
For the past three years, we have been thinking about one fundamental question:
If GELIVABLE only supplies Cover Glass, no matter how well we manufacture that glass, the problems we can solve for our customers will always be limited.
What our customers actually manage is a complete display system.
Beyond Cover Glass, there are Touch Sensors, LCD/OLED Displays, Optical Bonding, structural assembly, clean-environment management, cosmetic inspection, functional testing, and final quality assurance.
Especially in medical, industrial control, and smart-device applications, customers often need more than a single component. They need a stable, reliable solution that can be supplied consistently over the long term.
That is why we began preparing for this transformation three years ago.
From Cover Glass to Touch.
From Touch to Display.
From individual components to Optical Bonding.
And from bonding to component assembly and display module testing.

Today, when we talk about Cover Glass + Touch + Display, we are not presenting a future concept that exists only on a PowerPoint slide.
We have already received display module orders from several customers, and the investments we have made over the past few years are now being converted into real production business.
For me, this distinction is very important.
It is easy for a company to say what it will be able to do in the future.
What really matters is whether customers are willing to entrust their products to you—and whether they believe you are capable of taking responsibility not only for an individual component, but for the complete module.
This responsibility becomes even more important in the medical industry.
ISO 13485 Was Part of the Journey, Not a Reaction to the New Policy
In June 2026, GELIVABLE obtained ISO 13485 Medical Devices Quality Management System certification.
This was not something we decided to pursue because of the export policy change that took effect on April 1.
Building a medical-device quality management system requires considerable preparation: process development, documentation, clean-environment management, quality traceability, personnel training, equipment investment, engineering capability, and accumulated manufacturing experience.
These capabilities cannot be built overnight.
We have been preparing for this direction for the past three years.
This is not a new “future plan” created in response to a tax policy.
We made these investments because we had already decided where GELIVABLE needed to go:
Beyond Cover Glass, toward a one-stop display and touch solution.
ISO 13485 is an important milestone on that journey. It represents our commitment to operating under more rigorous quality-management requirements and taking greater responsibility for medical display modules and other high-reliability products.

The New Policy Has Not Changed Our Strategy—It Has Made It Clearer
From this perspective, the new policy introduced on April 1, 2026 has not changed GELIVABLE’s strategic direction.
If anything, it has made us more confident that the preparations we began three years ago were the right ones.
If we continue to rely only on exporting Cover Glass, the value we can create will remain limited when facing tax-policy changes, price competition, and evolving global supply chains.

In the past, our focus was on making one piece of glass as well as possible.
Today, we want to integrate:
Cover Glass + Touch + Display + Optical Bonding + Assembly
to provide our customers with a more complete, reliable, and accountable one-stop display and touch solution.
For our long-term customers, I also hope this policy change gives us an opportunity to sit down together and take another look at the entire supply chain.
Perhaps the question should not simply be:
“How much does the price of one piece of glass need to increase?”
Perhaps the better question is:
“How can we redesign the supply chain so that total cost is more reasonable, quality is more stable, and our cooperation becomes more competitive?”
I believe this is a much more valuable way for suppliers and customers to respond to change together.
From Cover Glass to Display Modules. From Components to Solutions.
Finally, as the founder of GELIVABLE, I would like to make a sincere request to all the customers who have supported and trusted us over the years:
Please give us the opportunity to work with you on more display module and component projects.
Whether your project involves Cover Glass, Touch Panels, LCD/OLED Displays, Optical Bonding, component assembly, or a complete display module, we would be pleased to participate from the early stages of development and work directly with your purchasing, R&D, and quality teams.

We also sincerely welcome you to visit our factory.
We would be pleased to show you what we have built over the past three years—from equipment and optical bonding capabilities to assembly processes, clean environments, and our quality management system—and to discuss your project’s technical requirements, quality standards, supply-chain structure, and opportunities for cost optimization face to face.
For us, whenever a customer is willing to bring us a module, a component, or even a new project still under development, that represents trust.
We value every such opportunity.
And we will work to earn that trust through actual Quality, Delivery, and Service.
In this new policy and market environment, we hope to find answers together with our customers rather than simply discuss a one-time price adjustment.
We look forward to expanding our relationship with you—from one piece of Cover Glass to deeper cooperation in components and complete display modules.
And I sincerely hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you to GELIVABLE and discuss your next project together.
