What is the difference between spray-coated AG glass and chemically etched AG glass?

Spray-coated AG glass has a lower cost, but the surface coating can wear or peel over time. Chemically etched AG glass modifies the glass surface itself, so there is no separate AG coating layer to peel off, and the glass retains the strength of the base material.
