How to identify the AG side of Anti-Glare Glass quickly?

By gelivableglass In AG Glass, Company Blog

Today, we want to discuss a question, how to identify the AG side of anti-glare glass? At this time, some people may say that this is too simple, of course, for some of the industry’s leaders, this knowledge is really superficial, but for customers who have just contact with the AG glass industry, they often do not know which side of the glass is the AG side? Gelivable will share with you two methods to help figure out.

Method 1: Gently slide back and forth on the glass with your hand. The original glass surface is not slippery, and is easy to leave fingerprints. The AG surface is smoother when sliding back and forth, because the AG side is etched on the surface. It has an etching depth of 0.06~0.08mm and has a “paper-like touch”.

Method 2: look at the surface reflection scene,if the reflection scene is blurred or it can not see clearly, and this side is the AG side. Because the AG surface is acid-etched,and the mirror-like normal glass surface is processed into an uneven surface, so that the mirror reflection can be changed into a diffuse reflection.

Therefore, the light reflected from the AG surface is divergent and the scene is blurred.

The reflection of the normal glass surface can clearly see the scene, just like a mirror. As shown below:

Through the two methods above, you can quickly identify the front and rear side of AG anti-glare glass. Welcome to follow Gelivable, we will share more info about AG glass.
