How to identify AF side quickly

 

Normally, we will put a small label on the glass package to tell customers about AR side and AF side.

This time we encountered a special require. The application of the cover glass is as follows: the special display screen is coated with optical adhesive, and then AF side of the glass is bonded with the display screen. After the optical glue’s drying, and remove the glass. The glass can be reused 10-15 times. If we use the glass with double-sided AF coating, the operator does not need to distinguish the AF side.Although this is a good way,the cost is much higher. Single-sided AF is more suitable.

However, after repeated operations, the small AF label fell off, and the operator can’t distinguish the AF side. Once the wrong label is attached, the display will lose a lot. What is a good way at this time?

Improvement: Add printed words on the glass cover plate, which can distinguish front and back at a glance. As shown in figure. This is a foolproof precaution.

How to mark the package mantissa?

Before improvement: the shipment quantity is large, there must be a mantissa when packing, as shown in the picture.It is not easy for packing and receiving staff to count.

 

After improvement: Add a packaging specification mark on the outer box, and fill it out after counting before shipment. When the customer receives the goods, the quantities can be clear at a glance, which iseasy to identify and count.

First do the full surface printing, and then do the laser engraving on the printing surface. However, the square glass is hard for laser carving operators to distinguish,and easily to make mistakes. First, the position of the icon is prone to errors, and the second is that the black version is printed on the entire surface, and hard to distinguish the front and rear side.

Improvement solution: as shown in the picture below, changing the printing method. When the second layer is printed, hollow out the area that needs laser engraving, which helps distinguish printing and non-printing, and also solves the fixed position of the icon,reducing the operation error to zero.

How to solve the bubble problem of large size glass bonding with 3M adhesive.

Before improvement, we met many problems in the process of bonding:
1. After the 3M adhesive bonding, the view area is easy to produce dirt. But the cover glass after adhesive bonding can not be cleaned by the cleaning machine, and it can not be wiped clean manually, as well.And the wiping is also easy to cause glass defectives.
2. Due to the large size of the product, the existing laminating machine is limited and can only be manually bonded.However, there will be a lot of bubbles in manual bonding, which cannot be eliminated.

 

Improvement Solution:
1. To solve dirt: before bonding, cut off the protective film of the glass printing frame with a blade, and keep the protective film in the window area. Tear off the protective film of view area after the adhesive bonding,and re-cover the glass with the protective film again.So that the cleanliness problem was solved.
2. To solve air bubbles: We first manually positioned the 3M adhesive and glass,and squeezed out the air between the adhesive and the glass by taking advantage of the extrusion function of the large-size laminating machine when passing the rollers.These can be bonded together without any bubbles.

To Remove the customer’s risk when taking out the glass sheets

Before improvement: A customer’s cover glass, the current package of shipment: double-sided lamination – white paper -10 pieces stacked into 1 pack. The size of white paper is equal to the size of glass.
Because the protective film on the edge is squeezed and glued together, the glass is not easy to be separated when the customer takes out the glass piece, which requires a lot of effort. A few pieces of glass are taken together accidentally, and then fall down halfway. There is impact between the glasses,which easily causes breaking or scraping.

The protective film stuck with the glass edge, which is difficult to take out the glass.

After improvement: as shown in the image, enlarging the separated paper size to the same size as the protective film. The dust-free paper is not sticky and can be easily taken out.
